The Fitzroy Computer Clubhouse is not government funded and we rely on financial and in-kind support from the community. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and go directly into the running costs of the Fitzroy Learning Network. There are a number of volunteer positions within the Clubhouse-
MENTORING – The most common volunteer position within the Fitzroy Computer Clubhouse is a mentor position where volunteers commit 2-3 hours a week on a designated day for a minimum commitment of 12 months. More information on mentoring We are currently seeking volunteers who are have experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Graphic or Web Design.
ADVISORY GROUP MEMBERS – The Computer Clubhouse Advisory Group is a collection of individuals who bring unique knowledge and skills to support the work of the Computer Clubhouse. Advisory Group members should be among the best and most outspoken advocates for the Clubhouse program, both locally and globally.Members of the committee support Clubhouse Staff in achieving the objectives for the Clubhouse. This is to
- Improve the quality of learning for it’s members,
- Create meaningful career pathways for members
- Improve the member’s quality of citizenship in their communities.
The Advisory Group meets bi-monthly. If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact Tara Willersdorf. Advisory Group members must complete the Fitzroy Learning Network volunteer induction process including Police and Working With Children Checks.
