InDesign Tutorial

This is a video tutorial for very first timers in InDesign. InDesign is a great program and once you know the basics, very easy to get started. The video goes for about 10 minutes.

Before you begin, I recommend you do 2 things-
1. Decide on a design. You can mimic one from a magazine or website or sketch your own, but it’s a good idea to have a thumbnail before you begin.
2. Decide on 1 font. You can have different fonts for headings, but for continuity, have one font throughout the rest of the magazine.

If you want to publish your magazine online, print it as a .pdf and upload it to issuu.com

You can see the fantastic work that members from Clubhouses around the world completed during the Intel Computer Clubhouse Network Teen Summit 2008 in Boston, USA. They used a combination of Photoshop and InDesign. Check it out!

Good Luck!
