The Fitzroy Computer Clubhouse is Free for all Young People aged 10-18 years old.The current timetable is-Monday 3pm-6:30pm EveryoneTuesday 3pm-6:30pm GIRLS ONLYWednesday 3pm-5pm AFTER-SCHOOL CARE ONLY, 5pm-7pm EveryoneThursday 3pm-6:30pm EveryoneFriday 3pm-7pm TEENS ONLYThere aren’t many rules at the Clubhouse, the most important is that everyone in the Clubhouse has the right to feel safe, and with that comes the responsibility to make sure that you are helping everyone to feel safe also. Once you are a member, you can come as often and for as long as you want. If you want to stay the whole time, that’s great, if you can only stay for 15 minutes, no worries.The Clubhouse has great professional equipment including-

a music studio equipped with a keyboard, mic and stand, mixing desk and software for making beats.
2 x video cameras
digital cameras
scanner
colour printer
lego robotics
high-end computers
great software including photoshop, premiere and flash.

With a focus on preparing young people in finding meaningful employment and further education opportunities, the Clubhouse also runs field trips to places like software companies, radio stations as well as assisting members with resumes, finding work experience, applying for scholarships and career planning.On top of this, as one of 109 Clubhouses around the world, teen members are given the opportunity once every two years to apply for the Teen Summit, which is held in Boston, USA.Three members from Fitzroy Computer Clubhouse are chosen for a scholarship to attend. Members are flown to Boston and participate in activities with other Clubhouse members from around the world. Three teens from the Fitzroy Computer Clubhouse will attend the Teen Summit this year, in 2008.Interested in becoming a member?Visit us at the Computer Clubhouse at 198 Napier St, Fitzroy.
